In 1961, Dwight Hartman, a small businessman from Harrisonburg, Virginia, traveled to Seattle, Washington, to sign his first Kenworth contract. Now, 55 plus years since that cross-country trip, Mr. Hartman and his son, Jim Hartman, have signed seven more Kenworth contracts (plus contracts Isuzu), growing Truck Enterprises, Inc. from a small family-owned business, to a large family-owned company featuring eight full-service commercial truck dealerships.
