Commitment to excellence in the
class 7 market.

The T300 represents Kenworth's commitment to excellence
in the class 7 market. The T300 is a highly durable, conventional
truck that's good for a wide array of short haul applications including
expedited freight and intermodal deliveries. The T300 is available
as a straight truck (30,000-35,000 GVW) or a tractor (70,000 pound
GCWR). It is available as a single or tandem axle straight truck
or tractor and is designed to provide superior performance and longer
operating life than comparable medium-duty vehicles.
Some of the features and options available on the
T300 include:
- Wheelbase options ranging from 150 to 280 inches, allowing bodies
up to 28 feet
- Very lightweight, thanks in part to the aluminum/fiberglass
construction of many components
- Sharply sloped hood, one-piece windshield, and standard Daylite
doors help improve the driver's visibility
- 50 degree wheel cut gives the T300 as much maneuverability as
a cabover in most applications
- Cummins ISB and ISC engines, along with Caterpillar's 3126 engine
rated at 190-300 horsepower, provide the right power for a variety
of applications
- Allison automatic transmission available for vocational applications
- Tandem axles offer loading capacity of up to 50,000 pounds,
versus 33,000 pounds with single axles
